Global advertising spend is set to rise by $23.0 billion in 2023, reaching $727.9 billion. This growth rate, decelerating from 7.9% in 2022 to 3.3%, sees Asia-Pacific leading at 4.6%, trailed by the Americas (2.9%) and EMEA (1.9%). Events like the FIFA Women’s World Cup could boost H2 2023 growth to 4.1%.

Digital advertising is poised to grow by 7.8%, reaching $424.3 billion by 2023's end. Yet, this foreshadows three years of single-digit increases. Emerging sectors, particularly retail media and connected TV, anticipate strong growth alongside rising programmatic ad transactions.

In contrast, 2023's TV ad spend may dip by 3.1%, with a potential 2024 revival. Live sports remain influential, with streaming platforms vying for broadcast rights. The out-of-home (OOH) sector eyes a 3.8% growth, driven by digital innovations.
